The Copernicus institute

The University of Utrecht is composed of 7 faculties. It was established in 1636, which makes it one of the oldest universities in the Netherlands. The Copernicus institute on sustainable development, attached to the university, works on the development of relevant knowledge for helping citizens to have a positive impact on the environment. It carries out and publishes academic works for influencing political decisions and companies strategy.
