Climate anxiety in children and young people and their beliefs about government responses to climate change: a global survey

About

This study represents the first comprehensive investigation into climate anxiety among a large cohort of children and young adults globally, examining its relationship with perceived governmental responses. A survey of 10,000 individuals aged 16-25 across ten countries was conducted, exploring their emotions and thoughts regarding climate change and government actions in relation to this issue. Results indicate pervasive concerns, with over half of respondents expressing extreme worry and a range of negative emotions. Many reported adverse impacts on daily life and harbored bleak beliefs about the future.
