Educational tool: the climate fresk
About
The climate fresk workshop is a tool for facilitating and educating about the mechanisms of climate change. It was created by Cédric Rigenbach in 2015 and led to the establishment of the Climate Fresk Association in 2018. There are two versions: one for children and one for adults. This workshop, which relies on collective intelligence, enables participants to understand the causes and consequences of climate change over a 3-hours session. The tool is based on a set of 42 cards, translated into over 45 languages, with content derived from IPCC scientific reports. The workshop consists of three phases: reflection, where participants connect the 42 cards based on cause and effect relationships; creativity, where participants personalize the Fresk by letting their imagination run free and giving it a title; and debriefing, where participants kindly share their feelings and discuss individual and collective solutions.
