2tonnes is an immersive workshop created in 2019 by François Laugier, co-founder of the 2tonnes association alongside Pierre-Alix Lloret-Bavai. It is designed for groups of 6 to 15 participants and can be conducted online or in person. The objective of the game is to achieve a carbon footprint of 2 tons of CO2 equivalent emissions per individual per year by 2050. For 3 hours, participants alternate between individual reflection and collective discussions to decide on actions to be taken at various levels to influence the national carbon footprint as well as their own. To organize a workshop, it is necessary to contact the association directly. The association also offers training for facilitating the tool, both online and in person, for individuals, employees, and professional training. These training sessions involve attending a 30-minute online project presentation and completing a 3-hour training session to become a 2tonnes facilitator.
